Yes, but not by snapping them. Fetch takes online purchases through eReceipts: you connect an email account or a supported store account in the app, and Fetch scans eligible order emails for you. Fetch says pictures of digital receipts aren't accepted, forwarded receipts aren't accepted, and the order must be delivered or picked up before the receipt counts.

Key takeaways

How to connect eReceipts

  1. In the Fetch app, tap the orange camera icon in the bottom navigation bar, then tap the blue eReceipt button.
  2. Choose an email account: Fetch supports Gmail, Yahoo, AOL and Outlook (including MSN, Live and Hotmail addresses) on iPhone and Android. It doesn't have to be the email you use to log in to Fetch.
  3. Or choose a retailer account to connect directly. Fetch lists Amazon, Albertsons, Costco, iCloud, Instacart, Meijer, Sam's Club, Target, Uber Eats and Walmart; Chewy, DoorDash and Sprouts are available to some users only. Amazon Business and Amazon Vine orders aren't supported, and neither are digital purchases such as gift cards, eBooks, movies and music.
  4. Sign in and give Fetch permission. Fetch then scans for eligible receipts on its own.

When an online receipt counts

Fetch's ruleWhat it means for you
From a supported retailerNot every online store's emails are read; check the retailer list in the app
Sent to a connected accountThe order email must go to an email or store account you've linked
In the primary inboxReceipts sitting in spam aren't picked up; move them and mark the sender as not spam
Within 30 daysFetch's help articles count the 30 days from when the order was received or shipped, so connect accounts before you shop
Delivered or picked upAn order still showing "Ordered" or "Shipped" isn't accepted yet
Not forwarded, not photographedForwarding the email or snapping a picture of it won't work

If your online receipts stop coming through

Other ways Fetch pays for online shopping

Besides eReceipts, Fetch lists Linked Offers and Fetch Shop as ways to earn on online purchases. These have their own terms, so read the offer details before you buy. For paper receipts, Fetch caps snapping at 35 receipts in a rolling 8-day period, and rejected receipts count toward that cap (duplicates aren't counted); eReceipts don't count toward it.

Is connecting your email worth it?

It's convenient, but you're giving an app access to read receipts in your inbox. Read Fetch's privacy notice first, and if you'd rather limit what it can see, connect a separate email you only use for shopping. Our guide to receipt apps and privacy covers what to check, and what receipts can you scan? covers paper receipts.

Frequently asked questions

Can I take a picture of an online receipt for Fetch?

No. Fetch says snapped pictures of digital receipts aren't accepted. Connect your email or store account through eReceipts instead.

Can I forward an email receipt to Fetch?

No. Fetch says forwarded receipts aren't accepted. The receipt has to arrive in an email or retailer account you've connected in the app.

Which email providers work with Fetch eReceipts?

Fetch supports Gmail, Yahoo, AOL and Outlook, including MSN, Live and Hotmail addresses, on iPhone and Android. It doesn't have to be your Fetch login email.

Why didn't Fetch pick up my Amazon order?

Common reasons are that the order isn't delivered yet, it was more than 30 days ago, it's an Amazon Business or Vine order or a digital purchase such as a gift card or eBook (not supported), or the connection needs reauthenticating.
